It is with a sad heart that I inform everyone that the esteemed Bon/Buddhist shaman, Two Horses Running has passed away. She made the transistion on August 14th surrounded by me and other students. Two Horses had a profound effect on students, and she will be greatly missed. She joined the 9ways School after many years as the Director of Future Promise, a endangered wildcat perserve in CT. This was one of the first envirnomental organizations dealing with endangered animals, and she was considered a leader in this field. She was also a member of the Medicine Society and for years was seen in Pow Wows all along the East Coast as a traditional Buckskin Dancer.
This past week I delivered some of her ashes to Mt. Mitchell in North Carolina. Family members have also carried ashes to Connetitcut. In a few weeks additional ashes will be scattered in the Pocono Mountains near one of our favorite meditation sites deep in the Delaware State Forest. Ashes will be taken to the Jeminez Mountains in New Mexico, as well as her birthstate, Oklahoma. Today I took some of her ashes to Geshe Chongtul Rinpoche who will be scattering them in Tibet, as well as sending some to Mt. Kailash in western Tibet, the holy Mt. to Buddhist, Hindu, and Bonpo. A Fire Ceremony will be conducted at Menri Monastery in about a week.
